REALME X2 PRO

The Realme X2 Pro smartphone has been launched in India at a
starting price of Rs. 29,999. The phone has been touted as the
company’s as its first ‘true’ flagship offering and comes with a
Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 plus Soc, which makes it the Chinese
smartphone makers most premium offering to date. It is one of the
top-end offerings launched by Realme priced over Rs 20000.
The phone comes with features like a 90Hz display, vapour cooling,
stereo speakers, a tactile linear motor for haptic feedback, and
extremely fast charging. The device comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED
display, which Realme calls the ‘fluid AMOLED’ display, which is
similar to the display on the OnePlus 7T. The Realme X2 Pro comes
with a 90Hz refresh rate, quad rear cameras and has a small notch.
The company has also kept the headphone jack on the phone.
The Realme X2 Pro is available in two variants, one with 8GB/ 128GB
of storage which is priced at Rs. 29,999, and the second with 12GB
RAM/ 256GB of storage which is priced at Rs. 33,999. The Realme X2
Pro has dimensions of 161 x 75.7 x 8.7 mm and weighs 199 grams.
Realme has also launched a 6 GB variant with 64 GB internal
memory for Rs 27,999. The lower-priced variant is now available on
e-commerce store Flipkart.
After the launch of the Realme X2 Pro, the company is launching
the Realme X2 in India which features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED
display, a 64 MP quad rear camera setup and is powered by a
Qualcomm snapdragon 730G processor with up to 8GB of RAM.

Design

The Realme X2 Pro has a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AMOLED panel with
500nits of sustained brightness and 1000nits of peak brightness
according to the company. The display can run at 90Hz instead of
the usual 60Hz.
The Realme X2 Pro comes with an aluminium body with Gorilla Glass
5 on the front and back. The mobile phone comes in Master Edition,
in ‘Red Brick’ and ‘Concrete’ finishes. The Realme logo is placed
adjacent to the camera module which is different from the
company’s other offerings. The phone has a vertically arranged rear
camera module which creates a bit of bump on the back of this
phone.

Camera:

The phone has a 64 MP primary sensor which is similar to the one
found on the Realme XT. The phone has a 13 MP telephoto camera,
an 8 MP wide-angle sensor with ultra-steady stabilisation mode, and
a 2 MP depth sensor to help with portrait shots. The phone has a 16
MP selfie camera for making video calls.
The phone has a nightscape mode which works for the selfie
camera. Users can adjust the level of background blur in Portrait
mode. The wide-angle camera can also be used to shoot videos on
the device. Realme has also added an ‘Ultra Steady’ shooting mode
for enhanced stabilisation and the phone can shoot up to 4K 60fps
videos.

Performance

The Realme X2 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ SoC which
has been used in a number of recent mid-range flagships like the
Asus ROG Phone 2 and the OnePlus 7T. The phone is available in 8
GB and 12 GB RAM variants in India. Realme is also using the UFS
3.0 standard on the X2 Pro for its flash storage.
The phone runs on ColorOS 6.1, based on Android 9.0. The feature
comes with a dark mode and Google’s Digital Wellbeing app. Realme
has added a number of preinstalled apps such as Game Space and
ORoaming on the device. There are a number of preinstalled thirdparty apps that can be uninstalled for extra space.

Battery and Storage

In terms of battery life, the Realme X2 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh
capacity and comes with a 50W Super VOOC charger in the box. The
company claims that the charger will be able to fully charge the
battery from zero in just 35 minutes.
Realme X2 Pro comes with common fast charging standards such as
Qualcomm’s Quick Charge and USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD),
which will allow you to charge the phone quickly even without the
bundled charger, says the company.
The phone is available in two variants one with 128GB of storage
and the second with 256GB of storage.

Connectivity:

In terms of connectivity, the phone can accommodate two NanoSIMs and supports dual 4G VoLTE. It has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
5.0, and support for three satellite navigation systems. It supports
3G, 4G, 2G, GPRS, EDGE, and GPS. It supports NFC connectivity as
well as support for contactless payments.

Configuration:

The phone uses Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 plus processor
with a 64-bit ARM LTE system on a chip that was introduced in mid2019. The phone has been developed by TSMC’s 7nm process, the
has four Kryo 485 Silver high-efficiency cores operating at 1.8 GHz
as well as three high-performance Kryo 485 Gold operating at 2.42
GHz. It also has another higher-performance Kryo 485 Gold core
which operates at 2.84 GHz.

Platform

The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 OS out of the box and is
powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus Soc which has octacore Kryo cores and integrated Adreno 640 GPU operation at 700
MHz. Qualcomm claims that the processor delivers up to 15% faster
graphics rendering and as well as delivers a higher CPU performance
from its sibling the Snapdragon 855.

Technology

The mobile phone uses the newer UFS 3.0 storage standard. It has a
new tactile linear vibration motor for more nuanced haptic feedback
says the company. Apart from this, the phone has a vapour chamber
cooling system for the CPU. Other specifications included in the
phone are dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and support for three
satellite navigation systems.
The Qualcomm snapdragon 855 plus combines Adreno 640 GPU
operation at 700 MHz and comes with an X24 LTE modem which
supports Cat 20 uplink and Cat 20 downlink.

Multimedia

The headphone socket, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker are placed
on the bottom of the device. The earpiece also doubles as a second
speaker for stereo sound on the Realme X2.
The retail box of the Realme X2 Pro has a 50W SuperVOOC wall
charger, a data cable, a SIM eject tool, a case, a warranty leaflet,
and a quick start guide. The phone ships with a pre-applied screen
guard, but the phone doesn’t have any earphones or a headset in
the box.
The device has Widevine L1 DRM certification so there are no
restrictions on the streaming resolution in apps like Netflix. It has
support for Dolby Atmos, which works via the speakers as well as
wired or wireless headphones.

Sensors

The phone comes with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and
Realme has added some customisable unlock animations. The
device also has Face unlock for added security. The X2 Pro offers
NFC and contactless payment options, although the latter isn’t of
much use here in India since services such as Google Pay don’t use
it.

ONEPLUS 6T

The OnePlus 6T is basically the OnePlus 6 with a smaller notch,
bigger battery and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It doesn’t make
sense for the present users for the OnePlus 6 to upgrade at all, but if
you’re on an older OnePlus phone, this one is something to look out
for. The 64GB variant is no longer offered by the company, so the
base price is now higher. It’s also all about pure speed which no
other Android flagship comes close to. It is only the Apple devices
that seem to be faster in both benchmarks and daily use, but they
cost more than twice the price of the OnePlus 6T. However, if you’re
planning to purchase a high-end phone mostly for gaming, you could
save your money and buy the Poco F1. If you’re looking for high-end
smartphone with an excellent display and incredible audio output,
the LG G7+ ThinQ is the one to get. The OnePlus 6T is a sensible
upgrade for those who need the incredible speed and the amazing
battery life, along with being okay with having ‘above-average’ of
everything else. It’s not at all disappointing a disappointing
smartphone, but definitely lacks some of the bells and whistles
found on other smartphones at this price, such as the LG G7+
ThinQ. OnePlus is no longer the only one playing the flagship killer
game, and that is a great thing for us, the consumers. OnePlus 6T
was launched in October 2018 & runs on Android 9 OS. The
Smartphone is available in three color options i.e. Purple, Midnight
Black, Mirror Black & has a built in fingerprint sensor as the primary
security feature, along with the host of connectivity options in terms
of 3G, 4G, GPS, Wifi, NFC Bluetooth capabilities. Priced at Rs. 34999
the phone is available with 128 GB of internal storage.
The Smartphone is powered by 2.8 GHz Octa core Qualcomm
SDM845 Snapdragon 845 (10 nm) Processor. A 6 GB of RAM ensures
phone runs smoothly even the most memory intensive applications
& still shows no signs of lag. 128 GB of internal storage can not be
expanded further.
The Phone comes with a large 3700 mAh battery to support it’s 6.41
inch screen with Optic AMOLED display having a resolution of 1080 x
2340 at 402 ppi. The screen is also protected by a durable Scratch
Resistant glass.
OnePlus 6T boasts of dual primary camera of 16 + 20 megapixel
and 16 megapixel front Camera. It also supports Face Detection and
high dynamic range(HDR) imaging.

HUAWEI HONOR VIEW 20

Huawei Honor View 20 was launched in January 2019 & runs on
Android 9.0 OS. The Smartphone is available in three color options
i.e. Sea Blue, Red, Magic Night Black & has a built in fingerprint
sensor as the primary security feature, along with the host of
connectivity options in terms of 3G, 4G, GPS, Wifi, NFC Bluetooth
capabilities. Priced at Rs. 37990 the phone is available with 128GB
of internal storage.
The Smartphone is powered by 2.6 GHz Octa core HiSilicon Kirin 980
(7 nm) Processor. A 6GB of RAM ensures phone runs smoothly even
the most memory intensive applications & still shows no signs of
lag. 128GB of internal storage can not be expanded further.
The Phone comes with a large 4000 mAh battery to support it’s 6.4
inch screen with IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1080 X 2310
at 398 ppi.
Huawei Honor View 20 boasts of dual primary camera of 48 + TOF
megapixel and 25 megapixel front Camera. It also supports Face
Detection and high dynamic range(HDR) imaging.
The Honor View 20 sports a number of impressive features, many of
which work just as advertised. The Sony IMX586 sensor really adds
strong points to the value proposition of the phone, as does its
excellent battery life and more than adequate CPU and GPU
performance when it comes to gaming and day-to-day tasks. The
Honor View 20 is a solid step in the right direction from Honor and
definitely gives OnePlus something to think about.

Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB

• Beautiful, premium Apple design, clad in a single piece of milled glass
with a matte finish that covers everything except the Apple logo and the phones’ three cameras – it’s a little more premium looking and sophisticated than the iPhone 11
• Packs a more premium stainless steel frame (instead of the aluminium
frame on the iPhone 11)
• The matte finish also means it’s more fingerprint resistant compared
to the iPhone 11’s glossy back
• IP68 water resistance, and more durable glass, compared to last year’s
iPhones – in fact Apple claims the glass used on iPhone Pros is the “most durable glass used on a smartphone”
• Face ID is now slightly faster, and supports more face angles too -which means you can lean over your iPhone resting on your coffee table, and it
will unlock
• The large display notch is still there
• Beautiful, high resolution OLED display – one of the best on any smartphone – and even brighter than the excellent OLED displays on last year’s iPhone XS and XS Max
• The iOS dark mode which is finally here looks great on the iPhone 11
Pros’ OLED screen
• It’s also the largest display of the 2019 iPhones – so if you really enjoy your
movies, this is the premium iPhone to get

Software

• Apple knows how to do software well, and iOS continues to be an
intuitive, and smooth experience – plus of course, you get regular, and
timely updates
• Siri has generally fallen behind Google Assistant now, in terms of usefulness and intelligence, so iPhones are not the best ‘smart assistant’
experiences now

Performance

• Break-neck speeds with the new A13 processor – it’s a bit faster in single tasking, and a bigger leap in multitasking, compared to the A12, which
already was the fastest mobile chipset around – in simple terms this is the
fastest smartphone out there now (along with the iPhone 11 Pro models), and of course runs butter smooth

Camera

• iPhones have always been among the top camera phones each year
(along with the Pixels, Galaxy Notes, Galaxy S, and Huawei flagships in recent times), and the iPhone 11 Pro Max continues that tradition bringing in some serious camera improvements to bring at par with the best of the pack
• The 2 key camera upgrades are – a new ultrawide-angle camera and a Night Mode for low-light photography – and all 3 work quite well
• The ultrawide-angle camera can make for dramatic shots – you get an
expanded-view viewfinder that now previews what’s outside the shot, which can help you know when to use the ultrawide lens
• Apple’s version of Night mode too is excellent – it works automatically,
taking an extra 1 to 3 seconds to capture more light and assemble a picture that ends up almost surreal and richly colored (you will be wowed) – it’s as good as the excellent Night modes on the Pixel 3 and the Huawei P30 Pro – the 2 phones that have so far been champions of night photography
• The telephoto camera with 2x zoom has a wider aperture this time, which means it’s better than last year’s iPhones at providing bright photos when
it’s dark out.
• Later this year, the iPhone 11 Pro Max will also offer a new Deep Fusion
feature to perform pixel-by-pixel photo processing to deliver even more detail and better textures along with less noise – again, you won’t need to activate a separate mode; it will just kick in when you’re indoors and there’s a decent amount of light
• iPhone video cameras have always been fantastic, arguably the best
on any smartphone – in the iPhone 11 Pro Max they have even better
stabilization for smoother video, and look better in darker spaces (though the video camera doesn’t use Night mode)
• Front camera is very good too, and is wider-angled this time – it can
digitally zoom in or out to accommodate a wider view that includes more people and background
• The front camera also get a new “slow motion selfie video” feature
(“Slofies”) – it’s a fun feature, to add some drama to selfies
• Overall, the excellent cameras on the iPhone 11 Pro Max bring it in the top bracket, on par with the other 2 top camera phones – the Pixel 3 and the
Huawei P30 Pro
• The ultrawide-angle camera doesn’t have Night Mode or OIS
Audio
• Excellent audio capabilities – Apple has introduced a feature called
spatial audio to the iPhone 11 models, which creates a virtual sound stage to
make you believe that the sound is coming out of the screen rather than just at the end of the phone and it’s actually quite impressive in action – plus, you also get Dolby Atmos support – again, this is one of the best audio setups on any smartphone

Connectivity

• The new U1 positioning chip inside all of Apple’s new iPhones will allow iPhone 11/Pro/Max owners to more easily AirDrop files to each other by pointing their phones at specific people – and many other interesting location based applications could follow soon.

Battery

• Excellent battery life – improved very significantly over the iPhone XS
Max – by as much as 30% – with moderate usage, you should comfortably get
1.5+ days of use – overall battery life is the best of the 2019 iPhones
• Fast charging support, and the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max also are the first
iPhones to ship with a bundled fast charger (finally!) Verdict
• This year’s iPhone 11 Pro Max is a well executed refinement over the
iPhone XS Max – it’s more durable, faster, has better cameras, better battery life

  • there might not be any stand-out wow upgrade here but it’s a very meaningful upgrade in all key areas
    • It’s the premium iPhone to get this year, if you are looking for a
combination of premium, and large screen for watching content
    • Having said that, it remains ridiculously expensive – so it’s only worth splurging on if you have a lot to splurge
    • And, if you are not wedded to the iOS ecosystem, there are a number of Android flagships from Samsung, OnePlus, Google, Huawei, Asus, and Xiaomi – that are more than worthy competitors
    • If you are wedded to the iOS ecosystem, the significantly cheaper
iPhone 11, that is almost as good in all key areas, will provide you much better bang for your buck.

frame on the iPhone 11)
• The matte finish also means it’s more fingerprint resistant compared
to the iPhone 11’s glossy back
• Ergonomically, the iPhone 11 Pro is the best of the lot with the most
compact, easy to handle size
• IP68 water resistance, and more durable glass, compared to last year’s

better bang for your buck.

Apple iPhone 11 256GB

Design

• Beautiful, premium Apple design, that’s similar to the iPhone XR from
last year, with a glossy back, except for the new colors, and the new camera
module (a frosted glass camera square) at the rear
• Ergonomically, it’s generally a great size and it offers a lovely slim and
solid design
• IP68 water resistance, and more durable glass, compared to last year’s
iPhones
• Face ID is now slightly faster, and supports more face angles too – which means you can lean over your iPhone resting on your coffee table, and it
will unlock
• The large display notch is still there.

Display

• Still packs one of the best IPS displays out there.
• It’s not OLED though, and it’s not as high resolution, as the iPhone 11 Pro models (but you will be hard pressed to find much of a difference in everyday use).

Software

• Apple knows how to do software well, and iOS continues to be an intuitive, and smooth experience – plus of course, you get regular, and timely updates
• Siri has generally fallen behind Google Assistant now, in terms of usefulness and intelligence, so iPhones are not the best ‘smart assistant’
experiences now.

Performance

• Break-neck speeds with the new A13 processor – it’s a bit faster in single tasking, and a bigger leap in multitasking, compared to the A12, which
already was the fastest mobile chipset around – in simple terms this is the
fastest smartphone out there now (along with the iPhone 11 Pro models), and of course runs butter smooth.

Camera

• iPhones have always been among the top camera phones each year (along with the Pixels, Galaxy Notes, Galaxy S, and Huawei flagships in recent times), and the iPhone 11 continues that traditions bringing in some serious
camera improvements to bring at par with the best of the pack.
• The 2 key camera upgrades are a new ultrawide-angle camera and
a Night Mode for low-light photography – and both work quite well.
• The ultrawide-angle camera can make for dramatic shots – you get an expanded-view viewfinder that now previews what’s outside the shot, which can help you know when to use the ultrawide lens.
• Apple’s version of Night mode too is excellent – it works automatically, taking an extra 1 to 3 seconds to capture more light and assemble a picture that ends up almost surreal and richly colored (you will be wowed) – it’s as good as the excellent Night modes on the Pixel 3 and the Huawei P30 Pro – the 2 phones that have so far been champions of night photography.
• Later this year, the iPhone 11 will also offer a new Deep Fusion feature to
perform pixel-by-pixel photo processing to deliver even more detail and better textures along with less noise – again, you won’t need to activate a separate mode; it will just kick in when you’re indoors and there’s a decent amount of light.
• iPhone video cameras have always been fantastic, arguably the best on any smartphone – in the iPhone 11 they have even better stabilization for
smoother video, and look better in darker spaces (though the video camera
doesn’t use Night mode)
• Front camera is very good too, and is wider-angled this time – it can
digitally zoom in or out to accommodate a wider view that includes more people and background.
• The front camera also get a new “slow motion selfie video” feature (“Slofies”) – it’s a fun feature, to add some drama to selfies.
• Overall, the excellent cameras on the iPhone 11 bring it in the top bracket, on par with the other 2 top camera phones – the Pixel 3 and the Huawe P30 Pro.
• Only Pro models get the 2x telephoto lens, so there is no optical zoom to be had on the iPhone 11
• The ultrawide-angle camera doesn’t have Night Mode or OIS.

Audio

• Excellent audio capabilities – Apple has introduced a feature called
spatial audio to the iPhone 11 models, which creates a virtual sound stage to
make you believe that the sound is coming out of the screen rather than just at the end of the phone and it’s actually quite impressive in action – plus, you also get Dolby Atmos support – again, this is one of the best audio setups on any smartphone.

Connectivity

• The new U1 positioning chip inside all of Apple’s new iPhones will
allow iPhone 11/Pro/Max owners to more easily AirDrop files to each
other by pointing their phones at specific people – and many other interestinglocation based applications could follow soon.

Battery

• Very good battery life – improved significantly over the iPhone XR which itself had good battery life – with moderate usage, you should get about 1.5 days of use.
• While the phone supports fast charging, the included charger is just
5W – you will need to buy a compatible fast charger separately if you want the fast charging goodness.

Verdict

• This year’s iPhone 11 is a very well executed refinement over the iPhone XR – it’s more durable, faster, has better cameras, better battery life, and
on top of it, cheaper than what the iPhone XR cost when it launched – there might not be any stand-out wow upgrade here but it’s a very meaningful upgrade in all key areas.
• It’s also much better value for money, for most users, compared to the Pro models – it’s as good in all key areas – and the things that are skimped on – the telephoto lens, the OLED screen – you won’t miss much.
• Of course, if you are not wedded to the iOS ecosystem, there are a number of Android flagships from Samsung, OnePlus, Google, Huawei, Asus, and Xiaomi – that are worthy competitors.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 512GB

Design

• Stylish, beautiful, refined design – the “Aura Glow” version where the back reflects surrounding light transforming into all sorts of gradients, shapes and colors, looks especially mesmerizing.
• The front is really sharp looking as well with a nearly bezel free display and a center punch hole front camera.
• Samsung’s remarkable job of improving screen to body ratio continues here – in fact, the 6.8-inch Note 10+ has roughly the same footprint as the 6.4-inch Note 9 – this is a really sleek phone.
• High quality build with glass on the front and the back, and an aluminum
frame in the middle.
• The power button can be programmed for long presses and double presses to launch Bixby (default) or other apps.
• Of course, one of the key highlights of the Note series is the S-Pen: it’s
one of those things that some people don’t use at all, while some swear by –
apart from taking notes, handwriting recognition (much improved), it can be used to control music, advance slideshows and snap photos via air gestures.
• Even though the phone has a surprisingly small footprint for the screen of
that size, the ergonomics are not exactly stellar – the sharp edges and corners, tend to make it harder to use with one hand.
• The ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner is not quite as fast as 2nd gen optical fingerprint readers on the likes of the OnePlus 7.

Display

• Incredibly good looking, 6.8-inch, sharp AMOLED display – it has excellent outdoor legibility, displays beautiful, vibrant colors, has excellent contrast, and excellent viewing angles – it’s basically as good as smartphone screens get.
• The screen does have occasional issues with phantom touches – since it has such tiny bezels, there are sometimes unintended touches from just holding the phone that interrupt your experience – Samsung could do here with a
better palm rejection algorithm.

Software

• Samsung’s OneUI is one of the best custom Android skins at present – it’s well optimized for single handed use with more controls in the easier to reach bottom part of the screen, looks stylish, and of course has a few useful options on top of stock Android.
• If you like the idea of using your Note 10 on a bigger screen, Samsung
makes it easy with its upgraded ‘DeX’ functionality – all you need is the
provided USB Type-C cable that comes with the phone, as well as the DeX
desktop app for your Windows PC or Mac, and you can run Android applications on your computer’s display and manage your files through a phone-like interface, only on the big screen.

Performance

Top-end performance with the flagship Exynos 9825 – as expected, it’s a performance beast: it flies in benchmarks, receiving top scores, it performs
excellent in games, and it features an immense 12GB of RAM which is a sweet overkill
• The storage is also of the new UFS 3.0 standard and it is the absolute fastest storage of any phone yet – the real life implications of having such fast storage it is just that everything loads and runs faster, from large games and videos, to smaller files.

Camera

• Top-end quad camera setup on the rear – 12MP standard + 16MP ultrawide + 12MP telephoto + DepthVision sensor
• The camera setup continues to be one of the best in mobile – and the
inclusion of telephoto and ultra-wide lenses allow for a wide range of different shots, and the hardware coupled with machine learning makes it a lot more difficult to take a bad photo.
• The live focus feature (Portrait mode, essentially) comes to video, with four different filters, including Color Point, which makes everything but the
subject black and white.
• Samsung’s also brought a very simple video editor into the mix here, which is nice on the fly – it’s also one of the better uses for the S Pen.
• There is also an improved Super Steady offering for videos, which smooths out shaky video, including Hyperlapse mode, where handshakes are a big issue.
• There is clever Zoom-on Mic functionality – while shooting video, pinchzooming on something will amplify the noise from that area
• The DepthVision Camera allows for many interesting AR use cases – including Quick Measure to measure object dimensions, 3D Scanner to click ‘3D images’ and animate them, AR Doodle which uses depth sensing to orient live drawings, and of course AR emojis
• The 10-megapixel camera for selfies is very good as well – and it also supports Live Focus so you can blur the background and it does a very good job, with a good amount of detail and with vibrant colors.
• Overall, as you would expect, this is one of the best, most versatile camera setups on any smartphone – you are going to love photography with your Note 10+.

Audio

• Excellent stereo loudspeakers – they are capable of blasting music with
quite the powerful punch.
• Samsung matches the industry trend here and lets go of the the
headphone jack (you do get a nice pair of AKG USB-C headphones in-box).

Battery

• Good battery life with a 4300mAh battery – you will get close to 1.5 days
with moderate use, and 1 day with heavy use.
Very fast charging with the included 25W charger (and support for up to 45W chargers) – you will get 61% charge in 30 minutes, and a full charge in 1 hour – one of the highest recorded charging speeds for any smartphone.
• Support for (fast) wireless charging and wireless power sharing.

Verdict

• Like always, the new Note, is Samsung’s and the Android world’s topend ‘everything phone’ – if you have the moolah to spend, you won’t go wrong with it – it succeeds as both a productivity device (thanks to additions like
DeX and added cross-platform functionality with Windows 10) and an everyday handset – so if you need a new phone, are looking for something big and flashy and are willing to splurge, the Note continues to be the one to beat.
• That said, the Note 10 series is no longer the ‘best at everything’ phones they used to be at one time – you will get a more fluid feeling experience on the OnePlus 7 Pro (thanks to the 90Hz display), an even better allround camera on the Huawei P30 Pro or the Google Pixel 3, and some powerful 10x zoom on the Oppo Reno 10x – so there are lots of options to look around at now, many of them cheaper too.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

Design
• Stunning, top-notch design, similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro, that continues
to impress.
• Special McLaren orange theme, for McLaren fans.
• The soft-touch glass at the back feels luxurious.
• The frosted rear panel doesn’t attract fingerprints and the subtle
gradient makes it look elegant.
• The immersive, ‘all screen’ razor-sharp display on the front (notch-less)
makes for an absolutely gorgeous looking phone.
• Super fast in-display fingerprint reader (comparable in unlocking speed
to standard physical fingerprint readers).
• The selfie camera functions exactly the same as it does on the OnePlus 7
Pro – that is to say, it is mostly silent, and very quick to activate – in fact, it is fast enough to be used for face unlock if you chose.
• On the heavy and large side – and a bit too big to use comfortably with
one hand.
• No IP-certified water resistance, that’s available on some of it’s
competitors like the Galaxy 10e.

Display

• Incredible, silky smooth, ‘all screen’ AMOLED display – with a unique 90Hz screen refresh rate that makes games and movie-watching look more fluid – even things like scrolling through webpages and apps feels really fluid (if
you place a standard 60Hz phone side-by-side, you will feel the difference).
• In fact the 90Hz display pushes the fluidity and speed of the feel of OxygenOS to a whole new level – in practical terms, seeing animations and
scrolling at fluid 90FPS does more to make a phone feel performant than any benchmark score – OnePlus has hit the ball out of the park with this one
• Crisp, high-res screen.
• For avid multimedia consumers, HDR10+ support is on board.
• Overall, this is arguably the best display on any smartphone, at present.

Software

• OxygenOS continues to be one of the most thoughtfully-designed, clean
(stock-like) UIs for Android.
• OnePlus’ UI gestures are very nicely implemented – they feel natural
and fluid.

Performance

• With the cutting edge flagship Snapdragon 855+, some ultra fast storage speed (UFS3), the well-optimized OxygenOS, and the 90Hz screen, the OnePlus 7T Pro is a speed monster, and easily one of the fastest (and the
fastest-feeling) Android phones around.

Camera

• Good, versatile, triple rear camera setup – there is an ultra wide-angle
camera, a standard camera and a telephoto camera – the setup is the same in fact as the OnePlus 7 Pro.
• The camera app has gotten a host of new features such as a Super
Macro mode and the ability to use Nightscape with the wide-angle camera.
• On top of these, OnePlus made some notable changes to how the 7T Pro
processes images – the company’s UltraShot technology will analyze what
you’re shooting and then apply different presets of color, contrast, exposure
compensation, and HDR effect (This is similar to the AI camera features touted by OnePlus’ competitors.).
• Having said that though, the camera setup on the OnePlus 7T Pro, while a
slight (software-based) improvement on the OnePlus 7 Pro, is still not quite as good as the best cameras out there – the Huawei P30 Pro, the iPhone 11, the Pixel 3/3a, and the Galaxy S10 series – especially in terms of low light performance.

Audio

• Excellent stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
• No standard headphone jack – you will need to use either USB-C or wireless headphones (none of which is included in the retail package).

Battery

• Good battery life with a 4085mAH battery – a slight improvement over
the OnePlus 7 Pro – you will get a comfortable one day of use.
• Super fast charging speeds – Warp Charge 30T brings the latest fast charging tech from OnePlus – it promises up to 23% faster charging speeds,
though real-world gains are a bit more conservative – charging times from 0 to 100% clock in at about 71 minutes.
• While the battery life is decent, the main competition – the Galaxy S10/S10e, and iPhone 11 – is significantly ahead here.
• No wireless charging support.

Verdict

• OnePlus builds on its best ever phone, the OnePlus 7 Pro, with faster
performance, a bigger battery and new camera modes – the 7T Pro isn’t an
overhaul of the previous OnePlus 7 Pro, but it doesn’t need to be – it’s simply a thoughtful selection of upgrades, all combining into a phone that once again undercuts other premium flagships by almost 50% in terms of price, and yet delivers (almost) the same flagship experience.
• The OnePlus 7T Pro is for those seeking the absolute best without spending top dollar – it nails almost everything you’d want from a 2019 flagship, and the few misses are easy to overlook for the money you save – for everyone
else, there’s the cheaper OnePlus 7T, or the even cheaper Redmi K20 Pro.

Asus ROG Phone II (12GB RAM, 512GB)

Design

• Exquisitely crafted and uniquely designed – extraordinary materials and build best – precise and tremendously stealthy gaming look
• The returned is crafted out of glass with a strip of aluminum at the right – it seems quite cool
• Well notion-out control layout, lots of I/O inclusive of a few precise input offers just like the Air Triggers – it is also a very functional gaming-focussed layout, inclusive of wider regions (bezels) round the display for larger speakers and easier gripping
• There are USB-C ports, one on the bottom and any other at the left facet – the latter is to allow game enthusiasts to rate the telephone whilst playing games in landscape orientation (Asus has notion of everything here)
• Decent under show fingerprint reader
• Quite heavy at 240 grams, which takes some being used to (even though to Asus’ credit – it is still reasonably clean to hold because of the curvature of the returned and even weight distribution)
• Incredibly slippery body – a case is a must (and happily one is blanketedin the retail package)
Air Triggers
• The “Air Triggers” on the ROG Phone 2 are touch touchy panels located on the right aspect of the tool’s frame that double as shoulder/trigger buttons when the cellphone is held sideways – this permits gamers to play certain video games the way console players do, with a aggregate of thumb and index fingers, and it improves the enjoy of gambling first-individual shooters notably.

Display

• Huge, stunning 6.59″ AMOLED, silky clean 120Hz display (most phones are 60Hz) – images and animations are butter clean – it’s difficult to describe with words – but the greater fluid photos are noticeable, and one of these things that when you see it, you can’t unsee it – it makes for arguably the excellent display on any telephone proper now, along with the 90Hz OnePlus 7 Pro show.

Software

• Surprisingly clean Android ROM, with most additions operating in the back of the scenes to enhance gaming
• Well laid-out Armoury Crate gaming interface, which incorporate slots of automatic optimization options as well as unparalleled get admission to to device-degree values and thresholds for advanced tuning

Performance

• Runs on the speed beast Snapdragon 855+, that is the just-launched improve of Qualcomm’s flagship chip – the 855+ is the identical hardware because the 855, but the CPU and GPU has been overclocked to better deal with memory and portraits rendering – considering that the 855 is already more than powerful to address any game, the 855+ is overkill
• You get notable top and sustained performance, with a few pinnacle-grade thermal management – on pinnacle of that, in case you upload the additional energetic cooling with the AeroActive Cooler II (blanketed in-box), it makes for truly throttle-free sustained maximum performance
• Combine the 855+ with the most first-rate thermal control on any phone, and you get the pinnacle of Android overall performance so far into 2019.

Accessories

• Just love it turned into with the original, a large part of the allure of the ROG Phone II lies with its huge accessory ecosystem, unmatched by means of any gaming smartphone – a few key ones include Aero Active Cooler II (blanketed in retail package), Lighting Armour Case, ROG Kunai Gamepad, Twin view Dock II, Mobile Desktop Dock, ASUS Professional Dock, WiGig Display Dock Plus and USB three.zero to RJ45 dongle.

Camera

• Solid cameras for the charge bracket – the principle digicam sensor is a 48-megapixel sensor that produces 12-megapixel pinned photographs, and the secondary huge-perspective digicam marks the first time a gaming telephone featured a extensive-perspective lens
• Photos captured underneath exact lighting conditions are extra than respectable, with the huge-attitude digital camera doing an admirable activity of keeping distortion to a minimum, too (In low light situations, snap shots turn out to be noisier, however still respectable)
• Overall, the cameras are not high-quality, however they are accurate in trendy for the rate bracket, and exceedingly correct for a gaming oriented cellphone

Audio

• Easily one of the fine stereo audio system on a telephone to date – the fairly huge areas on pinnacle and backside of the ROG Phone’s show house an outstanding pair of cellphone audio system – you get notable loudness, depth, and clarity

Battery

• Excellent battery lifestyles with a whopping 6000 mAh battery – you could expect up to 2 days of use regardless of stable gaming sessions thrown in
• Snappy 25W speedy charging support, with Asus’ Hyper charge generation (a 30W speedy charger comes protected).

Verdict

• Put honestly, the ROG Phone 2 is now the pleasant gaming tool in your buck – the 120Hz AMOLED display, the “Air Triggers”, the great accessory eco-gadget, the brilliant thermal management, the terrific speakers, and the huge 6000mAh battery positioned it a ways and ahead of the rest of the gaming telephones pack, which includes the exceptional Nubia Red Magic three – if you are a hardcore gamer, this is the tool you’re looking for
• If you are more into casual gaming, then of course the ROG Phone 2 is massive overkill – you may be well served by means of extra all-round flagship telephones just like the OnePlus 7, Zenfone 6Z, or the Redmi K20 Pro, so that you can be cheaper, less difficult to deal with, and have barely better cameras

OnePlus 7T Pro

Design

• Stunning, pinnacle-notch design, just like the OnePlus 7 Pro, that continues to impress
• Eye-catching new Haze blue shade
• The soft-contact glass at the again feels luxurious
• The frosted rear panel doesn’t attract fingerprints and the diffused gradient makes it look elegant
• The immersive, ‘all screen’ razor-sharp show at the front (notch-less) makes for an sincerely gorgeous searching smartphone
• Super speedy in-display fingerprint reader (similar in unlocking speed to standard physical fingerprint readers)
• The selfie camera functions exactly similar to it does at the OnePlus 7 Pro – this is to say, it’s miles ordinarily silent, and very brief to activate – in reality, it is rapid sufficient for use for face unlock if you chose
• On the heavy and big facet – and a bit too massive to apply with no trouble with one hand
• No IP-licensed water resistance, it’s available on a number of it’s competitors like the Galaxy 10e.

Display

• Incredible, silky easy, ‘all display’ AMOLED display – with a completely unique 90Hz display screen refresh price that makes games and movie-watching look extra fluid – even such things as scrolling through web pages and apps feels truely fluid (if you vicinity a well known 60Hz smartphone side-by means of-side, you will feel the distinction)
• In truth the 90Hz show pushes the fluidity and speed of the texture of Oxygen OS to an entire new stage – in practical terms, seeing animations and scrolling at fluid 90FPS does extra to make a smartphone sense performant than any benchmark score – OnePlus has hit the ball out of the park with this one

Camera

• Good, versatile, triple rear digicam setup – there may be an extremely wide-attitude digicam, a preferred digicam and a telephoto digicam – the setup is the identical in truth because the OnePlus 7 Pro
• The camera app has gotten a number of new features along with a Super Macro mode and the potential to apply Night scape with the wide-attitude digicam
• On top of those, OnePlus made a few amazing modifications to how the 7T Pro processes photos – the company’s Ultra Shot era will analyze what you’re capturing and then practice specific presets of color, assessment, publicity compensation, and HDR effect (This is similar to the AI digicam functions touted through OnePlus’ competitors.)
• Having stated that even though, the digital camera setup at the OnePlus 7T Pro, while a mild (software program-based totally) improvement at the OnePlus 7 Pro, is never the less no longer quite as true as the first-class cameras out there – the Huawei P30 Pro, the iPhone 11, the Pixel three/3a, and the Galaxy S10 series – mainly in phrases of low mild performance.

Audio

• Excellent stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos

• While the battery life is decent, the primary competition – the Galaxy S10/S10e, and iPhone 11 – is appreciably ahead here
• No wireless charging guide.

Verdict

• OnePlus builds on its quality ever smartphone, the OnePlus 7 Pro, with quicker overall performance, a larger battery and new camera modes – the 7T Pro isn’t always an overhaul of the preceding OnePlus 7 Pro, however it would not want to be – it’s really a thoughtful selection of upgrades, all combining into a smartphone that once again undercuts other top rate flagships by using almost 50% in phrases of price, and yet delivers (almost) the same flagship experience
• The OnePlus 7T Pro is for those searching for the absolute great without spending top dollar – it nails nearly the entirety you’d need from a 2019 flagship, and the few misses are clean to overlook for the cash you save – for absolutely everyone else, there’s the less expensive OnePlus 7T, or the even less expensive Redmi K20 Pro

• Stunning gradient shade options, something this is now becoming a bit of an enterprise preferred, however changed into first brought through Huawei itself

Software

• EMUI is a pretty polished and refined Android UI now, after years of Huawei’s software team running on it
• One of the brand new things with this EMUI model is the ERO record device that offers 3x boom in Random reads, 10% development in app startup, and also frees up the garage taken by gadget files by means of 20% – all of it approach even snappier trendy overall performance

• Flagship-grade performance backed by using the pinnacle-give up Kirin 980 chip by way of Hi-Silicon – that runs butter easy beneath all work-masses
• The Huawei P30 Pro also has an improved cooling device with a mixture of graphene film and a heat pipe with vapor chamber – which means that that inspite of extended gaming, the smartphone will heat up appreciably lesser.

Camera

• To put it very genuinely, the camera setup at the P30 Pro is extraordinary, and doesn’t simply make the P30 Pro the new digital camera smartphone king leaving the iPhone XS, Pixel three, Mate 20 Pro, and Galaxy S10 in the back of, however absolutely challenges a whole lot of dedicated virtual cameras
• For the quad rear camera setup on the lower back, starting pinnacle to bottom – the primary snapper is the 20MP one with the extremely-wide lens – then comes the 40MP sensor with OIS – and finally you may see the cease of the periscope zoom lens for the 8MP sensor, additionally with OIS – and, next to the triple principal setup sit the twin-tone LED flash and the ToF digicam which replaces the laser auto focus at the P30 Pro and also improves the threshold detection accuracy in portrait photographs
• Main camera: Photos from the primary digicam are amongst the exceptional images a telephone digital camera can produce today – there may be very excessive-degree detail even in complicated regions, high-quality dynamic range, accurate hues, splendid assessment, and, usual very mature processing
• Ultra-extensive digicam: Photos from this camera too have sufficient resolved element, color rendition is super and authentic to lifestyles, even as the noise tiers are nonetheless low – the dynamic variety is often amazing, probably due to the multi-body stacking magic – the extremely-huge-perspective cam also can do macro photographs just like the alternative cameras
• Tele-picture camera: Without a doubt, the hero of the piece, and what makes the P30 Pro greater special, is the 8MP telephoto lens with spectacular ‘5x’ zoom – the zoomed pictures are very special and the extra attain is clearly quite outstanding for a phone – the color, comparison, and dynamic variety are additionally excellent – this is no longer all, you could also move up to 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom (successfully you could use the camera as a portable binocular)
• TOF camera: When taking pix, the P30 Pro makes use ofthe main 40MP camera and the ToF snapper – the effects are pretty astounding – the situation separation within the portrait shots are one of the satisfactory, if no longer the great that you’ll see on a smartphone – the resolved detail is wonderful, and the blurred backgrounds look pleasant
• All shots also get a lift from a well-optimized AI gadget which recognizes and tunes settings for up to 1, 500 extraordinary scenes
• Low-light overall performance is every other large highlight right here and low-light snap shots from all of the rear cameras, with and without the night time mode, leave you surprised – they’re all perfectly usable and blur-unfastened – the images have an even publicity, nicely preserved highlights, and over all superb dynamic range – noise is by no means an trouble even within the shadows and night-time colors are retained very well too – standard, even in low mild overall performance, the P30 Pro leaves each different phone digicam behind
• The the front selfie digital camera is superb too – the dynamic range is splendid for a selfie shooter greater by way of that AI HDR+, and you will in no way must consider the mild supply position – the colors are exact as properly and there’s plenty of element
• Video recording via the rear digital camera setup is notable too, giving you the liberty to zoom in or out in any video resolution, with some not able stabilization at that – something that a full-blown digital camera could have a difficult time matching, let alone with the identical level of convenience – plus the footage has stellar dynamic range, the colours are actual to life and comparison is exceptional – there is of route slow-mo, and extraordinary-slow-mo recording as properly
• Low-mild video pictures is also remarkable, and all over again, class-leading – the extent of resolved detail is high, the noise is kept under manage, the publicity is even and the colors are just wonderful
• The digital camera app also has the reachable Hi-Vision clever assistant as part of the digicam app – it’s essentially a smart lens, which automatically recognizes landmarks, art, and food – a l. A. Google Lens

Audio

• Fairly loud, backside-firing speaker (it’s a single speaker although, now not stereo)
Call Quality
• Excellent, wealthy call exceptional – the front panel of the P30 Pro additionally doubles as an earpiece – everything is “acoustic” and vibrates to create sound – the tech is simply incredible, and works flawlessly – in truth due to the bone conduction technology sound may be heard in an awful lot noisier environments whilst as compared to a conventional earpiece – even in case you are in a club, you will hear the alternative facet quite clearly – there may be no sound leakage either
Battery
• Very properly battery lifestyles from a huge 4200 mAh battery, an green chipset, and some good software program optimization – you may quite simply get 1 and a 1/2 days of use

• There is likewise 15W wireless charging aid, in addition to the reverse wi-fi charging (you can use the phone to wirelessly rate different devices, quite just like the Galaxy S10).

Verdict

• Huawei has truly hit its stride with the P30 Pro and will yet again have the rest of the smartphone makers playing trap up, particularly in phrases of the extraordinary digital camera tech – for now, the P30 Pro is by way ofa long way the high-quality digital camera smartphone you can get to your money – and whilst pictures is the Huawei P30 Pro’s forte, it nevertheless excels at the whole thing that you’d want from a current phone – layout, display screen, overall performance and gaming, even battery lifestyles – you certainly cannot pass in correct with the P30 Pro, when you have the cash to spend.

    • The OneUI software at the Galaxy S10 is slick and streamlined as promised, and pretty smooth to apply – it’s one of the higher Android UIs you may come across – in fact, it is arguably the best custom Android pores and skin after Oxygen OS, and that’s a big deal for the Samsung logo

• Ditching the home button and shifting to a face-primarily based login was a bold flow from Apple final yr – and its frequently ended up working (with just a piece of a learning curve for preceding iPhone users), and thus allowed modern-day iPhones to cross almost all-screen – the new iPhones this 12 months continue the trend
• There is now even higher water and dirt resistance – those iPhones can stay water-safe an additional meter below water, up to 2 meters of immersion for as much as 30 minutes (finalyr’s iPhones already survived up to 1 meter) – this cellphone, in line with Apple, will additionally higher manage salt water, chlorinated water and diverse liquid spills

Software

• The new iOS 12 brings a number of new functions like institution notifications and most significantly makes deep overall performance upgrades – Apple is known for often tuning its software program to carry out optimally with the hardware – overall, this as delicate and polished as software program revel in on a phone as you could wish for
• One of the satisfactory matters about iPhones of route is that you are quite a lot guaranteed updates for many years to come (even the nice Android phones pinnacle out at about three years), so as long as you take care of your telephone physically, the longevity thing right here is virtually high!

Performance

• The iPhone XS is a performance monster – there is no different way of putting it – it nonetheless blows the satisfactory Android telephones away – and the new A12 Bionic processor sets a brand new wellknown for overall performance, and for chip design
• The maximum critical gains from the crazy speedy A12 Bionic are in AI, AR and portraits – AR apps for instance show better, smoother video and better-decision backgrounds (Apple says that is due to a greatly improved Neural Engine chip for device gaining knowledge of and laptop vision)

Camera

• The cameras will blow you away, and are without difficulty the excellent-in-class in conjunction with the Pixel 2
• The dual rear cameras are markedly improved from the iPhone X handing over better snap shots in each dark and excessive-contrast environments (Apple calls this “Smart HDR”) way toa brand new sensor and the new image processor on the A12 Bionic chip – in practice, this method pictures appearance higher whether shot on a middle of the night street, in a darkish bar or in vibrant daylight – cognizance is quicker, too – all these elements integrate to produce an excellent higher digital camera than the already exceptional iPhone X – and the distinction is significant enough to get extreme photographers interested

• Better wireless charging than before – Apple says the smartphone’s wireless charging coil has improved so there will be fewer misses when you place it on a fee pad

• Support for faster Gigabit LTE
• Finally, the iPhones this year additionally upload twin SIM support – that is carried out with a bodily nano-SIM + eSIM mixture (eSIMs are presently supported in India best on Airtel and Jio)
• On the whole, the iPhone XS collection is quite a lot an “S” iPhone collection, an basic polish and refinement of the formidable iPhone X – they are quicker, with better camera hardware so one can make regular photography extra professional-looking – for maximum iPhone X users this will be a skippable upgrade, but for each person else, the iPhone XS and XS Max, are the very excellent iPhones (and arguably the great smartphones) you can get – this is of route if you can come up with the money for it – these are crazy accurate telephones at crazy excessive prices!

Apple iPhone XR 256GB

  • Design
    • Continues the terrific, top class layout language of final year’s iPhone X – the handiest exchange here from the XS fashions, is that the frame is 7000-series aluminium and now not stainless steel – however the build first-rate is still absolutely top-notch
    • Ditching the home button and moving to a face-based login became a ambitious circulate from Apple last 12 months – and its by and large ended up working (with just a piece of a getting to know curve for previous iPhone users), and thus allowed cutting-edge iPhones to cross nearly all-display – the brand new iPhones this 12 months keep the fashion
    • Comfortable frame – the XR isn’t always iPhone XS size, or XS Max size – it’s proper within the middle, and that looks likes a sweet spot – it feels tons extra snug to hold than the broader XS Max, and less difficult to use with one hand
    • Water and dirt resistance
    • The XR additionally comes in a much broader array of fun coloration alternatives – lighter blue, coral, pink and vivid yellow – all look cheerful and properly accomplished – and for lots iPhones users, it is probably a fresh wreck from silver, black and gold, if they need something new (these hues options are not to be had on the iPhone XS/Max)
    • Face ID is now faster than before

    Display

    • The LCD display is fantastic – big, vibrant, and vibrant – arguably the quality LCD display on any cellphone – though it’s a (small) step in the back of the OLED one on the XS models in phrases of evaluation (it is also decrease resolution on paper, but you’re unlikely to notice that in regular use)
    • Uses a durable, scratch-resistant glass (as consistent with Apple’s claims, the the front display glass is as sturdy as the XS, whilst the rear glass is “higher than the iPhone X, ” however no longer as sturdy as what the XS)
    • Larger display screen than the iPhone XS
    • No HDR aid (that’s there on the XS collection) – this means that very high-comparison movies may not appearance pretty as suitable as at the XS – but that is of course nit picking – you will most effective clearly know the difference if you keep the telephones facet-by way of-side.

    Software

    • The new iOS 12 brings some of new functions like institution notifications and most significantly makes deep overall performance improvements – Apple is known for regularly tuning its software to carry out optimally with the hardware – usual, this as delicate and polished a software revel in on a telephone as you may wish for
    • One of the nice matters about iPhones of route is that you are quite an awful lot guaranteed updates for many years to come (even the high-quality Android phones top out at approximately 3 years), so so long as you cope with your cellphone physically, the sturdiness element right here is truely high!
    • No 3-d touch guide, that’s present on the XS series – although if you’re like maximum iPhone users, you’re not going to overlook this little-used feature

    Performance

    • The iPhone XR is a performance monster – there is no different way of placing it – it still blows the best Android phones away – and the new A12 Bionic processor sets a new general for overall performance, and for chip layout – with the same internals, you get the identical top-cease overall performance because the XS collection
    • The maximum critical gains from the crazy fast A12 Bionic are in AI, AR and photos – AR apps as an instance display better, smoother video and higher-decision backgrounds (Apple says that is due to a greatly improved Neural Engine chip for system mastering and computer vision)

    Camera

    • The rear and front cameras will blow you away, and are simply a slight step behind the quality digital camera smartphones – the iPhone XS/Max and the Pixel 3
    • The rear camera delivers first-rate snap shots in both darkish and high-contrast environments (Apple calls this “Smart HDR”) thanks to a brand new sensor and the new photograph processor on the A12 Bionic chip – in practice, this method pictures look higher whether or not shot on a nighttime street, in a dark bar or in vivid daylight – recognition is faster, too
    • There is likewise a brand new adjustable heritage depth feature in portrait mode, that lets in you to tweak the bokeh degree, supplying you with even extra strength over your pictures
    • The iPhone XR’ video recording exceptional might gain even greater from the smartphone’s digicam enhancements than nevertheless pix – the added HDR (better auto evaluation, as with the nonetheless pictures) and further stabilization will make even your greater informal videos look more colourful, even at 1080p and 30fps – and the microphones now record in stereo, too
    • The simplest (small) difference from the iPhone XS/Max cameras is that there may be no 2d tele-image lens at the rear – because of this no optical zoom pictures, and barely much less awesome bokeh pictures – additionally the bokeh shots handiest paintings on people – however not on pets, as an instance

    Audio

    • As with the iPhone XS series, the iPhone XR pumps out some stable stereo sound in panorama mode – it sounds crisp and loud – films and video games sound awesome, almost like listening on an iPad Pro
    • Headphone jack dongles are now now not protected inside the retail package – which means you will must rely upon Apple’s protected lightning port earphones (or buy wireless earphones)

    Battery

    • Good battery lifestyles – in reality the first-rate battery lifestyles of this year’s iPhones – it’ll remaining you the whole day in spite of heavy use
    • Better wireless charging than before – Apple says the phone’s wireless charging coil has progressed so there’ll be fewer misses when you region it on a price pad
    • No speedy charger blanketed inside the retail box – Apple only includes a five-watt fundamental Lightning iPhone charger in-box – a fast charger will need to be purchased separately
    More
    • Finally, the iPhones this 12 months additionally upload dual SIM assist – this is completed with a physical nano-SIM + eSIM combination (eSIMs are currently supported in India only on Airtel and Jio)
    • All stated and done, the iPhone XR most of iPhone XS/Max capabilities and advantages, and does it at a miles lower fee – it is in reality, arguably, the great iPhone cost in years – for most people that is going to the iPhone to get this year
