
Prime Minister of India is the Top Executive for the Worlds biggest Democratic Country -Government of India. Prime Minister of India is the Leader of Council of Ministers. He is the chief Adviser to the President of India and acts as the link between President and Council of Ministers.
Prime Minister of India has to be a member of any political party or coalition, having majority in the Lok Sabha. He can be the member of any of the two houses of Parliament of India – Lok Sabha (Peoples House) and Rajya Sabha.

4. Indira Gandhi (1917–1984)

Indira Gandhi was the first and, to date, the only female Prime Minister of India. Indira Gandhi was the daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India. As Prime Minister, Gandhi was known for her political intransigency and unprecedented centralisation of power. She went to war with Pakistan in support of the independence movement and war of independence in East Pakistan, which resulted in an Indian victory and the creation of Bangladesh.
