India cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Pandya brothers and others wished their fans a happy and safe Diwali.
The whole of India was drowned in Diwali celebrations on Wednesday and the Indian cricketers were no different.
In the midst of the Twenty20 International series against the West Indies, India got a Diwali break and all of them made the most of it.
Regular captain Virat Kohli had been given a rest for the T20I series and hence,
he did not feature in the two T20s against the Windies, that India won comprehensively under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
Virat Kohli, who recently celebrated his birthday in Haridwar with actor-wife Anushka Sharma,
Virat Kholi took to Twitter to share a picture of himself and Anushka in traditional wear for Diwali celebrations.
Likewise Rohit Sharma, who broke a plethora of records in the second T20I in Lucknow on Monday,
Rohit Sharma posted a video wishing his fans on the festival but also made sure to fulfill his social responsibility by warning people of the consequences of bursting crackers.
“We would just like to wish you a very happy Diwali.
I’m sure you’re enjoying your time with family, friends and loved ones.
If you are bursting crackers, keep in mind the consequences it has on our environment and on our beautiful animals.
Okay guys, have a safe Diwali,” Rohit said in a Twitter video.

They are wishing their fans a prosperous and fun Diwali.
Seems like Team India captain Virat Kohli, who is taking a break from cricket as India are led by stand-in captain Rohit Sharma in the ongoing three-match T20I series vs the Windies,
They took to Twitter to post an endearing Diwali wish for his fans. Through the tweet, which also has a photograph where he is seen striking a pose with wife Anushka Sharma,
he said, “A very happy and prosperous Diwali to everyone from our home. Wishing everyone peace, happiness and good health. God bless.”
