Bengaluru: Aurobindo Pharma Ltd reported a 12% fall in quarterly profit on Thursday and missed analysts’ expectations, hurt by higher expenses.
Net profit was ₹456 crore ($66.40 million) in the first quarter ended 30 June, compared with ₹519 crore a year earlier, the Hyderabad-headquartered company said in a statement.
Analysts on average had expected a net profit of ₹529 crore, according to estimates by Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
